COFETEL type approval certificate is mandatory before selling YOUR products in mexico.

Only Mexican companies may receive COFETEL type approvals or electric safety NOM certificates.
PRODUCT SAFETY NOM CERTIFICATION
The Mexican electric safety NOM certificate is the only legal document accepted in Mexico.

Local Representation:

All kind of certificates or approvals in Mexico, are only granted to Companies established in Mexico. And the Mexican company that will be the certificate holder must be registered within Cofetel and the certification entity (NYCE).

If you do not have a company in Mexico to be the holder of your product certificate, we can provide local representation service.

Your product certificate will be granted to our company name but we will give you an authorization letter to use the certificate and to print the certificate number in your products.

If you know a Mexican company and want it to be your product certificate holder but you are not sure if they are registered within Cofetel and the certification entity (NYCE) please ask us and we can check for you.We can register new companies within COFETEL and/or NYCE but we need the following list of legal documents from the Mexican company, that is why the list is in Spanish:

- Copia certificada del acta constitutiva de la empresa
- Copia certificada del poder del representante legal
- Copia del alta del domicilio fiscal
- Copia de identificación del representante legal
- Copia del RFC
- Copia del comprobante de domicilio
